Product Detail : The paper starts as a silver layer and black paint is layered over the top. The design is then etched out by hand using acid which removes the black allowing the silver to shine through. The design is made on flat sheets and then the very fine layer of metal paper is wrapped around a wooden box lid and coasters and held in place by tiny tacks. It is a very labour intensive process.
